Yes, I have not been blogging for a long time now. As mentioned before, I am just beginning on my exploration. Oh yeah, by the way, I have been busy with my Visual Art Task (VAT) paper, that's why I have not been blogging regularly. Now, my VAT is almost 95% completed. My exploration now is at a mess, as I'm trying to get fixed on a specific idea, rather than jumping about. Which makes me kind of scared because I scared my final piece will screw up. Aiyah, in conclusion, my idea is not fixed and in a very messy state. I just need to get it fixed soon or I will honestly suffer. Here's my progress of my exploration and an extra publicity poster for my VAT art exhibition:

First stage of 'Research' (purely replicating images by drawing them out and colouring/shading them) is over.

Now, I'm going through a new phase known as the 'Exploration' stage which means right now, I'm experimenting with my art works and decide which styles I like, which art pieces I'm looking for etc. This stage is relatively easy, because no shading and colouring in involved except drawing it out on a piece of paper. This stage is more of the thought process and conveying of ideas and creativity to the examiner. So, this makes it an although easy, but crucial point of ideas development.

Anyways, here's my first exploration piece (theme of marine mutation due to pollution):

Here's the other prep works I've done throughout the first quarter of the year:

Here's the completed version of my crab claw. Almost midnight, which means almost 'tomorrow'. Anyways, have to sleep early, tomorrow got school. Don't ask me why, but my current primary 6 class party, I have a hunch, that it just might not turn out according to plan. Just have that hunch. Pray to god I am wrong, because I want this class party to be fun haha! Yep, here's the picture of my progress, plus I'll try to add the photos of the other 5 of my prep pieces which I mentioned before, but haven't uploaded them onto the blog:

2nd picture of the crab claw I'm currently working on, now 80% completed, an improvement from the 30% completion in the previous post. Either completed by tonight, or tomorrow afternoon. Here's the picture:

Yes, this brings me to another day of my art. I think this blog will be dedicated to the progress of my artworks, unless I have something really interesting to talk about. Mrs. Ong smsed me today saying that I need one more research piece to beef up my research page, so I've decided to do a crab claw, which I think can be completed by tomorrow. I completed around one-third of the crab claw already. Hopefull by the end of today, two-thirds will be done. So the final one-third maybe tomorrow. Either that or I just finish the whole damn crab claw by today. Here's my progress (1/3 crab claw) and my 'art corner':

I just finished my art TA1 and I must say I'm quite proud of my progress. However, there is always room for improvement, and I'm very sure I will improve a lot. Anyways, I had a headache because I was thinking too much about art. Stressing me out very much, but I can't help it. I want to be the best artist amongst my friends! There was a visit from St. Gabriel's to our SJI art studio to study how we manage to obtain 100% distinctions from years in a row. My artwork is mediocre, yet they are damn amazed by me and my friends' artworks. That made me feel proud to be an SJI's art student. But I think I should maintain that reputation, and not let my friends and teachers down! Yep, here's just 2 out of 7 of my prep work:
